Hi,
I'm Little Miss Advice. This is a blog about friendships, school, self care, and drama. I will use real life examples but I will not to use real names.
Today I will be talking about friendship troubles. I probably will talk about friendship troubles a lot because I have a LOT of experience. Today I will just be talking about what to do when kids spread rumors about you. You see, there are a lot of ways to handle this problem, but only a few ways will stop it from happening.
There's a girl I know and she spreads a lot of rumors, especially about me. One time, I was in flute class she told every one that I said she stunk at flute. I told her I didn't say that, but at recess time, she made a big fuss by crying and telling people I said something mean about her. I felt really bad about this, because I would never say something like that. I then tried a few things, which is in the advice I will be giveing you.
I feel that it's important to try to solve things on your own before you tell an adult. First, I tried to clear it up by telling the girl the truth, but she's pretty stubborn, so that didn't work. Next, I tried to ignore her, but she wouldn't stop going on about it to me and to everybody else. So, I talked with my mom and I learned that sometimes it might help to realize that you can't change how other people act, but you can change how you react. I decided to agree to disagree by shrugging my shoulders and saying, "alright, whatever" and walked away. It was hard, but I really did feel better.
One thing you should remember is if things get serious, it's important to tell an adult. After a week of this drama, I finally told my teacher. Also, if someone tells your friends rumors about you, your good friends will ignore that. If they become involved in spreading the rumor, then they're not tru friends.
I am so happy that I started my first blog. Readers please always remember, if you need advice, ask me, Little Miss Advice.
